if i had to choose, i would say seafood is probably my favorite kind of food. if someone says where do you want to go eat, i would probably suggest a seafood place. not too long ago, i hated anything that came out of water and landed on my plate. i can tell you how it changed. my junior year i went to prom. we ate at brennan's, which, for those of you not familiar with the establishment, is a rather nice restaurant in the middle of houston. upon the arrival of our menus, however, a very interesting fact came to light. there was no chicken on the menu, and chicken is really the only kind of meat i eat. sometimes the occasional pork dish maybe, but never beef. ever ever ever. so i'm looking at a menu with no chicken. what am i going to eat? well, i decided on crab cakes. they seemed the least objectionable, i don't really know why.

the crab cakes at brennan's are fabulous. well, since then, i've been back to brennan's on more than one occasion and pretty much everything there is great. but back to the crab cakes. after the positive experience at brennan's, i decided i liked crab cakes. so i started ordering crab cakes. later, i decided this maybe meant that i liked crab meat. then i thought, hmmm, well, what about other fish? and guess what, guys. fish is really good. well, the unfishy fish, anyway. so now that's what i always order. fish. i never used to like fish. at all. i still don't like salmon. apparently i liked salmon when i was younger. i probably didn't know what was up back then. i also don't like trout and catfish and that sort of fish that smells and tastes like cat food. tuna fish makes me want to die.

it's not about seafood. fuck. i don't even know what it's about really but let's just all agree that today doesn't fall under the category of good days.
